Can I connect STANDARDflex CSST directly to a gas appliance?

We recommend using STANDARDflex CSST termination flange, shut-off valve and a gas connector for connection. The flange plate should be securely fastened in place during rough-in of the structure. It may be attached spanning between wall studs or directly to the floor.  

Do I need to use STANDARDflex fitting with STANDARDflex CSST?

Can STANDARDflex CSST be buried?
